I waited about 10 minutes for the weenius to appear, who took one look at my phone and advised me it would need to be reset. The pleasant keeper of the tablet checked me in and told me to have a seat and a weenius would be with me shortly. The store was fairly empty due to snow and I now knew I needed to head to the person holding the tablet of power (not Aquinos today). I returned at the appointed time assigned to me by the great and powerful Aquinos. I took the appointment and wandered out, not a single employee making eye contact the entire time. The next available appointment was two days from now. He acknowledged that this was definitely a problem and told me there would be a three hour wait to see a weenius, or I could make an appointment to come back another day. I held up my phone, which was rebooting on a regular basis. Long Live Aquinos! When I finally was allowed into the presence of the great Aquinos, he inquired about my problem. It didn’t matter what his name was anyway, because only Aquinos could help us. As I wandered the edge of the cloud of people suddenly AttiDude appeared! One of the employees decided to finally try and organize the line, and was apparently annoyed he was the one chosen to do something other than show people how to play games on their Macs. Thirty people can sell me anything I want to buy from anywhere in the store, but once you buy it, lotsa luck baby! There was no line, no organization, just a cluge of people around Aquinos all waiting for help. Aquinos, it turns out, is not a TV or hairspray, but one lone employee with an iPad coordinating the repair part of the store. What the hell is an aquinos? Siris big brother? One of the four screens sitting at the front of the store? Is it an application on one of the random machines around the store? As I went to ask for further clarification, the employee had sped away, leaving me to wander about for a bit. I wandered to the front of the store and finally pinned one of the red shirts against the wall to inquire about service. The first thing you will notice is that while there are 30+ employees on the floor, NO ONE NOTICES YOU. Lord help you if you wander in without an appointment. The savings if something breaks isn’t worth the price, except for the phones. Never buy Apple Care or One to One, a waste of money, they just refer you to on line help for the correct solutions. The only purchase that is good is your very first one, after that you are on your own, so buy the most on board storage available and the best processors and you only have to be dead in the water for one week every 7 years for a computer, 3 years for a phone. It’s actually faster, and less aggravating, than the the time I wasted for the the last three days. I am waiting for an Amazon delivery for the cables for my Apple equipment, because the Apple store doesn’t carry them, even though the online info says they had it in stock. 3 days after, 4 trips to the Apple store 6 hours for that, 8 calls and 3 hours of on the phone with online help, $ 7, 000 dollars of total equipment, and I still cannot move my data from one Mac Book Pro to another. Unless everything is on the cloud, which is way too small for 7 years of data, and way too expensive to increase storage, forget it. Not one person could give me a correct answer on the correct connecting cords to back up all of my data. 00 two days ago and had an additional 400. Oh they will wing it with a generic answer of how is any task is easy to do at home, and get you out of there asap, but they are without exception wrong, untrained and useless. Although they slick talk you on how smart you were with your purchase, a purchase you had to wait 45 min to make, even though you know exactly what hardware you want, less than 2 people in the whole store can actually answer any basic question correctly about set-up and necessary connectors. 20 Smug employees, about a one to one for actual buying customers, and they all ignore you. This is one of the worst Apple Stores in the country.
